RME 9632 with AI4S-192 AIO kills the HDSPmixer
« on: August 25, 2018, 04:16:42 PM »
Not directly an AV Linux issue but if anyone could give some insight..
A new soundcard is in the house, the trusty RME 9632 works fine but when connecting an additional analog input board (RME AI4S)  the the HDSPmixer fails to show up. Segmentation fault.
The HDSPmixer seems to have only 12 I/O but 9632 is capable of 16 channels of I/O.
However those extra channels provided by the AI4S board appears (as channels 13-16) on Ardour and record finely.
Just wondering...

Update: I installed some packages in order to try csound and cecilia, no other updates was installed. Now  the Hdspmixer appeared completely and fully functional.
Of course I was curious to see would the newest AVLinux 2019 do trick as well but no dice.
