Mate Desktop
« on: June 15, 2017, 12:51:53 PM »
Ha

The Mate desktop is nice and easy install For AVL  Personally I install more than the Default desktop as a safety backup it's saved me more than once when something
went wrong . Another is Enlightenment 17 uses a completely dif set of libraries and will run when kde ,gnome, etc won't start
better than having to reinstall and loose alot of time and work not to mention blood pressure.   Mate my become my default .      Check it out.

Have read the warning up here, (not so) older than me..

What I like, "need" & prefers in Mate is the F3 function in Caja, and that's why I choose it in our *everything-but-music* install of Debian. U've understood that the other multi-boot option is AVL, haven't you ?!!
